| located on the south bank of bohai in china,longkou port is one of the two a-hundred million-ton ports in yantai that plan to be constructed by the nation,and an important distribution center for external materials in north shandong,it presents close business links with 87 ports from different countries and regions. longkou port has 6200 meter quay line,27 production berths,of which 16 are 10,000-ton class(three 100,000-ton-class,seven 50,000-ton-class and six 10,000-ton class berths)The water depth of the channel is -15.5 meters,and bottom width 200 meters.The railway that accesses to the port is completed and the set transport systems of port are maturing. Longkou port has insisted on walking a road of development of multi-investor since 2003,and cooperated with more than 200 companies at home and abroad.The projects completed and under construction sum to more than 3 billion yuan.Port throughput has maintained rapid growth in recent years and it will exceed 30 million tons in 2008.in 2007,it became the only one who won National May Day Labor Award among the port and shipping enterprises in shandong province.
